Conversational intake is the capture of a requirement through a chat dialogue instead of a form — the concrete interface through which demand intake is typically implemented.
Distinction from demand intake. Demand intake describes the principle; conversational intake refers specifically to the chat interface as the capture channel.
Design principles. Short, concrete questions rather than one long questionnaire; visible progress; ability to correct answers afterward.
Advantage. Users don't need to know which fields are required — the system guides them there.
Risk. Without a clear closing check, misunderstandings can silently carry over.
